These standard-size cards were free with the purchase of packages of Hostess Baseballs, a new snack food. The frosted yellow cakes have creamy filling and were decorated with red icing to resemble the stitching of a baseball. Each two-cake snack pack contained one three-card pack and cost 85 cents, while each eight-cake family pack contained two packs and cost 2.99. The cards were issued in two series (1-16 and 17-32).
